We’re building a Healing Village and Knowledge Centre based on what our Elders, our Lived-Experience Advisory Council, and our community have told us is needed. This special place sits on land given back to us by the Réseau Compassion Network and eleven congregations of Sisters.
Our long-term plan includes living quarters, healing and meeting spaces, and facilities for social enterprises. But our first priority is simple: getting women on the land as soon as possible so the healing can begin right away.
A key part of this vision is financial sustainability. The Village will run social enterprises that provide education, skills training, and meaningful work for residents. These opportunities will help build confidence and identity while also funding the Village’s ongoing operations.
In this way, every step forward—economic, educational, or personal—will help sustain the Healing Village and create lasting change for the whole community.
