Get Involved

Clan Mothers Healing Village and Knowledge Centre is building something very special.

Our Village and programs will impact over 500 people per year through short/mid/long term supports and programs. In the process, vulnerable women will become role models, helping educate the community at large, and improve the landscape for the next generation.

We offer opportunities to those seeking employment that is inclusive, transparent, responsible, considerate and steeped in Indigenous teachings, matrilineal systems, the Seven Sacred teachings and traditional ceremonies. If you want to be part of something that makes a difference in people’s lives, consider working with Clan Mothers Healing Village and Knowledge Centre.

Carpentry Training Program Cohort 2

Are you ready to transform your life?

Clan Mothers carpentry training program is for women, 2-spirit and trans persons who have lived experience of gender based violence and or sexual exploitation.

Carpentry 1 is a land based and community rooted pre-employment course focused on healing and creating a safe learning environment to develop your skills.

Discover the beauty within yourself. Develop confidence as part of a team.

Be part of the growing clan mothers sisterhood.

Our holistic approach includes cultural teachings, sharing circles, personal goal setting, counseling and social support, all delivered through a matriarchal Indigenous lens.

We offer an opportunity to learn carpentry skills and to become part of the crew who will build the clan mothers healing village. As an active participant in the program you will learn to:

We expect that you commit to being present and sober for the duration of the program

In order to be successful you need to:
Have stable housing and childcare
Come prepared for physical work
Be able to leave your drama at the door
Show up everyday, clear headed
Be  ready to work and learn

You can earn a living in carpentry/construction and feel proud of yourself.

The program will last for 10 months.
