Capital Campaign

Our focus is to get the women on the land as soon as possible – so that healing can begin immediately. To make this happen, we are committed to raising the $11 million it will take to build the facilities and develop the programs needed to support the Healing Village.

The process of building the Clan Mothers Healing Village and Knowledge Centre relies on partnerships and alliances with individuals and organizations willing to act as a “catalyst for change”. To raise the funds necessary to support our vision, relationships have been built with several key community supporters.

So far, with only a “soft launch” of the capital campaign – we are well on our way! Thank you to our generous leadership donors who have started us on our journey!

Government Support

The Province of Manitoba has contributed $3 million for capital costs and is working closely with Clan Mothers to support operations. Talks with the Government of Canada have begun, and important relationships have been established. Clan Mothers is confident the various levels of government are committed to the project.

Private Sector Support

Clan Mothers Healing Village will raise $4 million from the private sector, including corporations and businesses, service and community organizations, charitable foundations, and individual donors, to provide enhancements not included in government funding. As part of the overall campaign, Clan Mothers Healing Village expects these funds will be a combination of both donations and contra support.

The powerful collaboration between private benefactors and various levels of government will help to build a permanent and safe physical setting where Clan Mothers can offer culturally and socially appropriate healing to many of those who have suffered intergenerational trauma, sexual violence, exploitation, and trafficking.
